Meetup on 4/4 + Website!
Hi Neighbors,
A few quick updates:
Website is live!
You can now find all the information about the committee and what we’re up to at www.ittybittymosquitocommittee.org. Going forward I’ll be posting all updates there as well.
If you indicated on the interest form that you'd like to receive updates, I've automatically subscribed you using the valid email address you provided. You can also subscribe directly from the website and if the e-mails are ever too much, no hard feelings — there’s an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email.
Volunteer meetup: Saturday April 4, 3pm
We’re on! Thanks to everyone who shared potential locations -- we'll tentatively meet at the Northeast Library as long as capacity seems reasonable. Please RSVP so we can get a rough headcount: [click here to RSVP]
We’ll use the time to self-organize and split into focus groups. Here’s what we’re looking to tackle — though this is by no means an exhaustive list, bring your ideas!
Planning the Biogents town hall
Mapping and data collection
Standing water elimination and treatment efforts
Organizing across wards — given the strong interest from Brookland, Anacostia, Trinidad, and Bloomingdale, we’d love to think about how to support coordination in neighboring communities
• Adding a bit more structure to the group and figuring out how to best disseminate information
If any of those sound like your jam, we’d love to have you. See you Saturday!
