We're hosting DC Health's mosquito control team on Saturday, June 6 from 10am–12pm at Mott's Market. We're keeping this smaller so there's room for real conversation.
They'll give an overview of their surveillance and treatment work, show us traps, and answer questions. Then we'll walk around Lincoln Park, point out problem spots (catch basins, vaults, etc.) and have a real conversation about how we can realistically address mosquito breeding grounds. They'll treat while we walk and talk through their process.
With the recent update to our catch basin strategy — where we report standing water to DC Health rather than treat ourselves — this walk is the perfect chance to understand their process and ask lots of questions.Â
RSVP here (limited capacity, first-come-first-served).
I'm really looking forward to this and hope you're able to make it!Â
